KEEP KEEPING ON...

Here at Fuel, we understand that it's hard to commit to regular exercises and healthy eating habits, but we also believe that once you get into a healthy cycle of school/work and exercise it will improve your physical and mental state drastically.

We aim to decrease any amounts of stress for you with our tips and tricks to keeping up with a healthy lifestyle, this includes healthy, cheap and easy to prepare meals that can be taken on the go for convenience and fun ways to keep fit and healthy without making exercise less enjoyable for you.

Statistics show that teens are more likely to have a positive attitude to learning and will engage more during school lessons or put in the most effort for tasks if they keep up healthy habits like these. This is super important for teenagers since in teen years it's important to not only have good physical health but good mental health as well.

Sleeping habits are another key part of this as you can't be expected to use your maximum brainpower if you haven't had a recommended 8 hours of sleep during the night.

We have spoken to some health and fitness professionals who have given us their most useful tips for teenagers to keep up a healthy lifestyle. Some of the tips given are straight forward and not too difficult to achieve over time, however, some will take more will power and determination.

OUR TOP TIPS:

  • eating a healthy diet

  • drinking lots of water

  • keep up with any exercise you enjoy because even a small difference matters

  • think about the fuels you’re putting into your body and if there are healthier alternatives

  • always remember discipline over motivation

  • remember to train insane or remain the same. (This reminds us that in order to make a physical or mental difference we need to work for it because we can't cheat to win.)

We will however remind you that of course, you should never overwork yourself and only push yourself to your limit. Rest is important, even more so if you’re engaging in physical activity often considering our bodies need time to rest and reset when we feel worn out.
